Angel Lynn is a Sacramento-based real estate professional, who was the nominal employer of noted real estate fraudster Casey Serin for approximately 2-3 months, ending in early June 2009. She is currently licensed as a real estate salesperson and is affiliated with the West Coast Realty Group. She is the owner of the MyShortSaleAngel blog which was previously administered and mostly written by Casey, but is now apparently managed by her and other members of her staff.

Casey's association with Lynn became known to Haterz™, when he leaked it himself, by way of his most recent personal blog, Blogger Casey in mid-May 2009. It is believed that he was working for her for some time before the association became known, but his start date was never made public. The prevailing opinion is that he began there in March.

Casey made it known on Blogger Casey that he was working for an area realtor, and on May 10, 2009, he posted a picture to his Flickr account showing him hard at work. In the image could be seen a realty brochure, partially concealed by other papers, showing the partial name "-l Lynn." Googling "sacramento realtor lynn" gave away Casey's employer, and MyShortSaleAngel got hundreds of hits the first day.

When pressed by some Haterz™ familiar with his practice of artfully staging every photo, Casey admitted the leak was intentional. In June, a few weeks after his termination, it was learned that Casey did the leak entirely on his own with no prior knowledge or permission from Lynn. It is unclear when Lynn learned of the leak, but some evidence suggests that it was probably around the same time Casey became unemployed.

Casey expressed surprise that the connection was discovered so quickly -- he expected it to take several days at least, rather than a just few minutes -- but his photo-styling practices are well-known, and the text was visible because he obviously wanted it seen.

Lynn stated on BTC's Haterz™Cast^[1], that she decided to employ Casey with full knowledge of his past activities. She said that "none of us are perfect" and applauded his enthusiasm and ideas for her business. Both she and Casey declined to state where they met, but Haterz™ have speculated that it may have been through one of the Real Estate networking groups that Casey has been involved in.

Casey's job was described as managing her blog, dealing with her general office technology needs^[2], and other unspecified duties. He ran one open house for her^[3], though he was limited to handing out flyers because he is not a licensed real-estate professional. Casey's compensation was not disclosed.

Despite Lynn's initial enthusiasm for Casey and her purported knowledge of his history, events following the HaterzCast™ indicate that she was completely unprepared for the degree of scrutiny and ridicule that all Casey's known associates receive from Haterz™ and others watching the saga. In early June 2009, all traces of Casey Serin's association with Lynn disappeared from her web site. Later communication from Lynn stated that she is no longer "affiliated" with Casey in any way.

Haterz™ have speculated that had he just shut up and done his job rather than seeking personal publicity, Casey would still be working. Nigel summed up the situation, saying:

"Casey's problem is he blogged about it. He reached out to key people like WWTF and others to make sure everybody knew he was coming back. He went on the talkcast and brought Angel with him. He created BloggerCasey and opened comments. Haterz didn't do any of this. This was all his doing."^[4]

Lynn has made several attempts at entrepreneurship prior to entering the real-estate business. According to Google searches performed by Haterz™, she has attempted to establish businesses in the past^[5]^[6] and has also been employed in other fields.^[7] In an email to WWTF Lynn revealed that both of the businesses listed in her name were DBAs that were filed but never actually operated.

A small storefront building^[8] at 2716 Broadway is listed as the contact address for her current employer, for some prior businesses and for several other companies and organizations owned or controlled by her or members of her family.

Lynn's maiden name is Angelica Vellanoweth. In some business and public records she is referred to as "Angel Vellanoweth." According to her own "about" page, she is the mother of two^[9] and Haterz believe she is married, as evidenced by a very obvious ring in several photos posted by Casey.^[10]

Casey has posted photos of her children to his Flickr account and to her blog. [Editors note: Caseypedia does not publish photos of minors, no matter how innocuous, or how lame-brained Casey and their mom were for letting them be published.] BTC posted a comment to the blog suggesting that the photos should be removed, to which Casey responded: "BTC, i noted your comment (but didn't publish) and brought it up to Angel's attention. Thank you."^[11] No changes were made, even after Casey's apparent dismissal.
