Sometimes referred to as Anon, the Anonymous poster is a person who comments on sites like EN and does not want to sign his/her name to a post; as such, it is the favored sign in name of those who don't want to reveal their identity to The Internet Police. Many Anonymous posters are Haterz™ and a few are Supporterz™.

Allegedly, one of the most egregious anonymous posters is a certain award winner from Salt Lake City who trolls the EN board, yet denies it. A hater noticed that he was using an anonymous proxy to keep his originating IP secret. He has regularly denied his penchant for trolling, but many readers know it's him due to his distinct writing style.

Many Haterz™ suspect that Casey and his friends and family have also posted anonymously on Hater sites from time to time.

On October 29, 2007, Casey Serin appeared on Nigel's "RECast" talkcast, purporting himself to be an "anonymous unofficial representative of Foreclosure Help Book." "Casey" then went on to answer several questions directed at him whilst drifting in and out of third-person perspective, using the justification that if he never uses his name, he's "not really online" and therefore is "keeping [his] promises."
