Are you...?

"Are you...?" is a typical series of questions Casey Serin will ask a caller to his talkcasts. It's his most typical, goto response when answering questions from a critic or hater.
Faced with a difficult question or dissenting opinion, Serin will typically ask the caller his background: "Are you a CPA?:, "Are you in Real Estate?", "Are you an investor?"[1]
This tactic serves two purposes:
- It deflects attention away from Serin and onto the caller, taking Serin off the spot and giving him extra time to formulate a safe reply.
- It attacks the credibility of the caller, in an attempt to undermine criticism by questioning the critic's authority.
Callers including Duane LeGate, M. SINGH, Dolph and Benoit™ have grown wise to this ploy and called him on it: "It's not about me, Casey."
