July 14th 2007: in this post on IAFF, Casey is surprised that his backsliding has repercussions.

Casey has failed to complete the agreed sale of the IAFF domain name to Duane LeGate, and the deal is off. Casey is "PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at "these 3 “characters”" but will not yet say more.

Ominously, while the "characters" are implied to be Duane LeGate, Mark Villaseñor, and Marty Stewart, there are three other characters Casey might be concerned with: "F", "B", and "I".

Casey adds an update to the post in which he notes that "there was supposed to be an internet truce" and blames "a certain person" for "talking crap about without first getting to the bottom of the facts". He adds:

I am just wondering what will happen if I end up being “married” to these guys for a year or whatever it happens to be.

A comment by LossMitPro makes a brief appearance, only to be nuked by Casey within a few minutes:

TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS OF IAFF BLOG
Please take notice that any transfer of the AmFacingForeclosure.com domain name, is subject reversal under California law. Under stipulated settlement pursuant to California law, Casey Serin DOES NOT have sale rights. Therefore should money exchange between you and Casey Serin for a sale of said domain, such a sale is subject to reversal by court order.[1]

Casey comments, still steaming, to reproduce an email he sent to Duane and LossMitPro: "WHAT KINDA OF CRAP IS THIS??????????????????????"

Mark continues to THREATEN ME and now sends me this STUPID EX PARTY CRAP!!! Especially when I was ASKING FOR SOME TIME TO COOL OFF!!!!!!!
I had NO INTENTIONS OF BACKING OUT!!!! But it was already a stressful situation. When both you guys threatened me I seriously felled like i’m being bullied since I told Mark I will be OUT FOR A FEW HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![2]

A few minutes later, Casey appears a little calmer and in hope of being given yet another chance:

I just hope, if these people are really NOT trying to screw me they will let me cool down and get back into this deal… but when people are THREATENING ME OUT THERE… it just aint right… i’m already edgy about this whole thing.[3]

but is still fuming about "frivolous lawsuits" and the "LEGAL STICK": "All I’m asking is for a little bit of time to get into my senses as I’m known for doing impulsive things but these characters won’t give me sometime to cool down… still trying to do the right thing."[4]

Casey continues to whine that "when I’m being pressured or not treated right it just doesn’t feel like the 2 characters understand that what they’re doing is the OPPOSITE of helping me!" and again complains that "now I feel BULLIED. Very bullied."[5]

He goes on to send a "just trying to be reasonable" email to "the two characters" saying:

"I though we both called for internet truce??? Dude this whole thing is getting weird."[6]

Getting weird? Seb makes a short but cutting comment in response: "Internet truce? How old are you? Eight?"[7]

Casey makes his final comment of the day in response to a question from Annie, again defending himself and accusing Duane of "spreading crap about me how I’m backing out WITHOUT first checking the facts".[8][9] However, he studiously ignores Annie's repeated questions about what "meeting" could be more important than fulfilling his settlement.[10][11]

LossMitPro comments at EN with a deadly "I’m not angry; only resolved that matters get handled properly. And they shall, next week..."[12]

Duane publishes an email he sent in response to Casey's "WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THIS" email:

I have not threatened you. I just simply said if a deal is not executed it is off. Most people understand that. You don’t. [...] I will not accept your word anymore, only your action. I have given you steps to do so, you continue to whine.[13]

LossMitPro comments the next morning at EN:

Truth be told? I’ve lost emotional connection with this case, and THAT is a very dangerous aspect for Casey. (Just being... Organic, here.) When I cared what happened to him, trying to be human and all, I gave much leeway to extend respect and a level of decorum. After yesterday, I’m all used up.
Quite bad for Casey, as now I move into the “collector-mode” state of being and that’s not the place rational opponents want me to be... Let’s just say that mindset is cold, unsympathetic, and as compassionate as a shark’s eyes rolling back for the bite.[14]
This Settlement Agreement may be the only contract Casey lives up to, but he SHALL live up to the very terms he requested. No wiggle-room, no excuses, no way out of it![15]

Nigel makes a somewhat resigned post at DHC, noting that "Casey's fraudcast seemed like a Survivor reunion show":

Duane and Mark especially are looking and sounding really bad right now, but we on the outside don't know everything that's going on. Having spoken to Casey by phone many times, I too have found myself get very emotional in conversations with him. I think it boils down to the recognition that Casey has potential he's squandering. It's not that tragic if some loser fails at life, but it's much more frustrating when the failure has talent.[16]

His commenters dispute this, Benoit asking: "Exactly what skill set does he have? He graduated high school seven years ago, and that's about it."[17]
