A Beg-a-thon is an innovative, forward-looking method of asset leverage yielding short-term liquidity gains of sums sometimes in excess of $200.

The first Beg-a-thon took place on Friday March 30th 2007[1] in response to efforts by CashCall to call in an outstanding loan which they, in a momentary bout of madness, had issued to Casey Serin. According to Casey, a total of $378.28 was raised. [2] Annie led off the bidding.

A second Beg-a-thon was scheduled for Friday May 18th 2007, but was replaced by a "Talkcast". Within the Haterz™ community it has been speculated that the second beg-a-thon was a blatant attempt at trolling.

The phrase "beg-a-thon" is one of only a few which successfully crossed from Haterz' comments to Casey's own vocabulary.
