Blog Carnival is a local term used in the Salt Lake City area as a "code phrase". It refers to any event where multiple gay men in drag, some wearing clown makeup, brazenly flaunt their homosexuality out in the open. Awards are given out to whomever appears gayest.

Nigel Swaby loves to attend blog carnivals. Allegedly, he's won first prize a few times as well... (which we think means he is "tops" at these events while KC is presumably on the "bottom" as he never wins awards).
