Bruce D. Collins

Bruce Dwight Collins (born April 13, 1968) was one of Casey Serin's advertisers, promoting his internet radio show The Big Picture.
After Collins purchased his $100/month Sweet Link, Nigel's Guest Blogger posted an article at What Casey Means To Say... poking fun at Collin's website: "someone needs to update their site design from 1996."[1]. A stung Collins responded in a comment at IAFF:
- There’s actually a blog called “what Casey means to say.” You mean to say that someone spends their time critiquing this website because…(?!?)… they desparately need a girlfriend, perhaps?[2]
Collins went on to praise Serin: "[E]ven the biggest cynic would have to admit - what he has done with this website and the publicity he has garnered - was proof of his genius." "Dream big,", Collins added. Serin later used his comment as a testimonial.[3]
In an odd twist, Collins went on to become a semi-regular commenter at What Casey Means To Say..., gradually transforming from enthusiastic supporter to incredulous hater:
- Would it change my opinion of Casey? Sure, but my opinion is ever changing as it is. I regret having used the term 'genius' before I had the bigger picture of the situation. I make mistakes sometimes.[4]
After Serin's flight to Australia, Collins commented to announce: "You guys heard it here first, I won't be paying Casey any more money for my link. Outrageous stuff!"[5] Further solicited by Serin, Collins added:
- I got another email from Casey asking me to renew my link. I just ignored it. [...]
- The straw that broke the camel's back was when he let his wife deal with CashCall's threats on her own. I'm not saying that she is 'innocent', I'm just thinking he, being the man, should have been there to face the heat.
- Don't take a vacation when your house is on fire.[6]
Collins has since expressed his regret on choosing to advertise on a site that has so much controversy and with someone that has had questionable actions in the past (and now present).[7]
