caseyhaterz.com (commonly known as CHC or CH.C) is a closed reg only forum for discussion of the Casey Serin saga.
Established by The Dude in July 2007, caseyhaterz.com offers an number of threaded forums where both Casey-related and off-topic subjects can be discussed. Registration is required to view and post. Initially, registration was fully automated, although this led to an explosion of somewhat lively and animated conversations that quickly led to the imposition of strictly imposed rules regarding defamation and libel. New users now require prior approval by the moderators before they are able to participate in the forum, but this hasn't prevented over 700 people from signing up as of 24th July 2007.
Between July 18th and July 20th, caseyhaterz.com was unavailable, apparently due to technical problems[1]. During this period, a power team of details and tech guys was presumably working on restoring normal service. There was a widely-circulated rumor that LMP had issued a cease and desist order on the The Dude requesting all references to 'Mark Villaseñor' be removed from the website and this led to the suspension of CH.C. In actual fact, the site had simply got too popular for the original server to handle, and due to The Dude's inexperience of handling online forums, it took some time to get back up following the initial crash. LMP had contacted the site admins, but it was an amicable request, not any kind of legal threat, and entirely unconnected with the site's unavailability.
On July 26th 2007 Casey Serin visited the forum and wrote the following:
- Imagine having a "fan" site about YOU and actually participating in it as one of the members.... its interesting sometimes I have actually felt like I'm part of some kind of play and am just playing a role so I would sometimes look at my OWN story from a 3rd person view.... but you can only do that for so long before reality catches up with you[2]

Although there was a lively meme propagated at EN and elsewhere that the site was "facing imminent implosion" and that people were being banned left, right and center. In actual fact, the vast majority of the "implosion" posts were made by the same two or three disgruntled individuals who had been banned, and the total number of bans is still in the low single figures as of 25th July 2007 - compared with over 700 registered users. A wipe out of most registered users occured in Oct 2007. Re-admission has been permitted but as PMSPMS/GypsyPete and CHJTS have discovered the mods have no sense of humour and/or little tolerance for questioning their authority. Or maybe that they have little tolerance for those with no sense of humour. Something like that.
