Child

A child is a human being who has not yet reached puberty; the word can also refer to offspring of any age -- adults always remain the children of their parents, for example. The term is also used metaphorically for someone who behaves like a child, a prime example being perpetual man-boy Casey Serin. Although Serin is in his mid-twenties, he arguably has the business acumen of a 5-year-old chimpanzee.
Serin has also referred to his blog as his mistress or his child, assigning the importance of a son or daughter to an inanimate object and proving that he's a psychotic madman who prefers his only source of infamy to either his wife Galina or a son or daughter.
