Duane LeGate

Duane Franklin LeGate is a businessman and operator of several real estate related websites. He was one of [[Casey Serin|Casey Serin's] advertisers/sponsors for a brief period and also attempted to mentor Casey and assist him with his business. As has been the case with all potential mentors, employers and associates throughout the saga, Casey eventually chose to cut off the association when it became obvious that Duane actually expected him to do something.
Duane started exchanging emails with Casey sometime in the fall of 2006. Over the course of those exchanges, Duane reportedly offered to provide Casey with mentoring and business advice in exchange for exposure on the blog. In January 2007 this offer was expanded to a more formal arrangement for sponsorship of IAFF. Duane also reportedly recommended that Casey get a job, negotiate with creditors and forget about real estate for a while.
The advertising/sponsorship deal was terminated in the middle of February 2007, after about a month. Casey explained that "We gave it a shot but things didn’t work out between Duane and I.", adding "It's all good though".[1]
Initially the status of Duane vis-a-vis Casey was unclear, but in mid-May 2007 Duane posted about the matter on EN and later provided Rob Dawg with his side of the story[2].
Duane has called in to two of Casey's talkcasts, on 18 May 2007 and 25 May 2007. On the second occasion, Casey angrily cut him off. Duane has also participated in Nigel's KoiCast.
Duane remained in touch with Casey and was the person who broke the news to the Haterz™ community at EN that Casey had fled to Australia. Shortly thereafter, he removed himself from any public involvement in the saga.
