Education
From CaseyPedia
Education generically refers to the process of accumulating knowledge. Generally, however, the term is used to describe the process of attending a formal institution for the purpose of gaining specific knowledge or working towards a recognized degree, diploma, certificate or number of credits, and may be differentiated from "learning" which also includes less formal types of knowledge accumulation including that which is obtained from "real world" experiences.
Casey Serin lacks any significant formal education beyond the high-school level. He has been attracted to a number of real estate gurus including Robert T. Kiyosaki whose pitch includes a disdainful attitude towards formal education and assurances to their clients that formal education does not matter.
Serin's expressed opinions about education mimic those of his gurus, including the notion that getting a formal education is pointless because it does not teach you anything about how to build a business or earn money, and the even more dubious notion that it specifically teaches you how to be an employee.[1]
However, Casey has repeatedly attested to the "value" provided by numerous guru seminars, NRU classes and mentoring by individuals of dubious experience and expertise. His utter failure 0% success in using their teachings has not dissuaded him from continuing to believe in their scams eductional offerings. To date, Casey is believed to have spent more on NRU and guru seminars than he would have for a full four-year degree at Cal State Sacramento, to which he claims to have been accepted at one time.[2] Documented costs include approximately $15,000 for a Russ Whitney seminar and approximately $16,000 for NRU. These represent only a small percentage of the courses and guru seminars he attended.
