Casey Serin's entrepreneurial history goes back quite a long way. On February 8, 1997 he posted a Usenet item under the title "$$FAST-N-EASEY CASH$$ NO risk, NOT a scam!!"[1] in which he proposes a variant on the chain letter scheme, which espouses using Usenet / email to send the actual letters, rather than by post, which is illegal in the United States (?).

Note that the name on the Usenet posting is his father.
