Escape My House
From CaseyPedia
Escape My House, sometimes abbreviated EMH, was initally Casey Serin's attempt at a new blog, in order to resurrect the long-gone glory days of IAFF. The blog was started on November 9th, 2007, with Serin claiming that he needed to blog to express his thoughts and feelings.
Because IAFF revolved heavily around baiting the Haterz™, most of Serin's long time readers have assumed that EMH would have the troll meter turned up to the maximum. Serin didn't disappoint with his first post, claiming that he considered buying a domain name for $4500, before saying that he had to meet with his bankruptcy attorney.
On November 17, 2007, Casey pulled the plug on EMH without providing any warning or rationale for the decision. All blog posts were removed, and the front page was replaced with a blank screen that contained an HTML comment that read, "goodbye". In the November 20th, 2007 KoiCast, Casey said that his decision to go offline was made in order to keep his promises to Galina.
On April 20, 2008, RSS feed information appeared to indicate that someone was setting up a new WordPress installation on the EscapeMyHouse.com domain.
[edit] EMH Version 2.0
On July 22, 2008, the flamboyant fraudster resurrected the EMH site with a splash page advertising an e-book, supposedly due out in August 2008. On the splash page, Serin laughably claims to have been a "homeowner, landlord, and investor" who can advise people about walking away from their homes. Serin had recently appeared on a Fox News story as the proverbial "face of the subprime meltdown", and it was speculated that he was trying to capitalize on the sweet media exposure.
True to his bipolar form, however, within 48 hours, the content of the site was pulled yet again, with Serin declaring that he had "launched prematurely, but would be back soon". Four days after that, on July 30, the site was modified to show a message in which Casey expressed doubt about the viability of an e-book, and whether he was ready to return at all.
- "Yeah, I dunno if I wanna go online after all... Too much work writing an ebook without a market test to see if it's financially viable. I also don't know if I'm ready for the attention yet - don't want to misuse it and hurt people like last time. Need to think about the strategy (and details!) some more."
In any event, Serin hasn't yet announced plans for an actual blog to appear on the new version of the site; any new blog which subsequently arises would presumably chronicle people losing their homes, while Casey Serin simultaneously loses his mind.
