Foreclosure Help Book, generally abbreviated FHB, is another of Casey Serin's chronicles of failures, which was launched in early October 2007. The premise of the new blog was that Serin and "business partner" Damion Lupo would write a book, giving advice to assist people in avoiding foreclosure. Within days of the new blog's launch, the classic bipolar mania of Serin revealed itself, when the business partners announced that the forthcoming book would be priced at $1,000 and justifying the price by suggesting that it could save some people far more than that. Serin did not explain where he thought people facing foreclosure would obtain such a sum. Serin slso stated that he expected the book to give help to "hundreds of thousands of people".
On October 24th 2007, Casey reported via an e-mail to Nigel Swaby that he would be "[moving] away from blogging and publicity and focus on IT / book / online marketing instead" in an effort to "keep my promises to stay off line."[1] Haterz™ were encouraged to place their bets for the over/under on how long it would take before Casey dragged himself into the spotlight once again. The smart bet would have been "about a week."
On November 2, 2007, all blog posts naming Casey and Damion were edited, replacing names and first-person references with anonymous "we"s. Damion Lupo's name was removed from the book's cover image and the About Page removed all references to the names of the Power Team. In addition, all of the comments were deleted.
On November 9th, 2007, Casey returned to blogging with EscapeMyHouse.com.
By June 25th, 2008, the domain had been allowed to expire.
