Foreclosed, Hated and Down

In this episode of IAFF, Casey is named World's Most Hated Blogger; IAFF crashes; and a brewing marital storm is foreshadowed.

Declan McCullagh's article Casey Serin: The world's most hated blogger? hits CNET, revealing (amongst other things) that Casey enjoys baiting the haterz:

Not all these details have appeared on his blog yet, but Serin seems to enjoy spacing them out in a way that will vex his readers the most. "What happens is I feed off of it," he said. "I know the buttons to press to get those guys going. After awhile, you learn what topics you can mention if you want to get extra comments on your post."

IAFF promptly crashes under the load. Casey attempts to move IAFF away from Zewg's free "semi-dedicated" hosting, and discovers that you get what you pay for:

I went ahead and bought a dedicated box from GoDaddy.com. Go daddy’s crappy server didn’t work even though I followed the instructions precisely. They also refused to give me support since I bought the bare-bones self-supported server for $80.

Casey offers some sage advice to fellow world's most hated bloggers: "Learn from me and make sure your blog has rock-solid hosting."

Pressing the buttons to get those haterz guys going, he hints at marital trouble:

My wife wants me to shut the blog down. She has had enough and she has very valid points. So I have a very hard decision to make. I will save that for another post.

Stay tuned, haterz!

[edit] Comments

In the comments, Casey notes that he has moved IAFF back to Zewg: "Finally… looks like the new dedicated server (donated by Zewg.com) has propagated and is now live.", only to complain "It’s very sloooooooooow though!"
