Galina Serin (born January 2, 1983), née Suprun, is Casey Serin's estranged and divorced exwife. Like her husband, she is an immigrant to the United States from Tashkent, Uzbekistan.[2] Her family arrived in California in 1990. In early June 2007, she was allegedly abandoned by her husband with one hour's notice and only $300 in the bank, as Casey decided to travel to Australia to become a jet-setting fugitive. Galina has apparently filed a legal notice of separation in California and refuses to communicate with Casey following his return from Australia. [edit] Victim or Willing Participant?
Galina's role in her husband's real estate fiasco was initially not easily determined but now appears to be that of a victim of her husband's criminal conduct. While she may not be innocent of all charges many haterz now believe she deserves a sympathetic viewing. In particular she appears now to be attempting to completely cut off all ties as of Oct 2007.
Critics who are slightly more sympathetic contend that Galina is a victim, largely to the extent that she was brainwashed or conned into the scheme by her husband. This position is supported by comments made in the talkcast by Casey's brother Steve Serin - who is only Galina's brother-in-law and not a blood relation. Also in support of this, Casey himself has said that he misled his future wife into thinking he was wealthy, while they were dating. In actuality, Casey said that he paid for the engagement ring with one of his credit cards. Were Casey to be indicted on any charges, it is unclear whether this would constitute a defense on Galina's behalf.
Casey's critics have assigned varying degrees of blame to Galina for her role in the unfolding foreclosure saga, though these claims are unsubstantiated (as is her entire role). However, their assigned blame is not to the same degree as her husband is viewed. Casey's critics point to publicly-available documents filed with various county offices indicate that Galina participated in some of the financial deals, although Casey asserts that her signature was required on those documents only because they were married (this is later supported by LossMitPro and Duane Legate). In addition, Casey wrote on his blog that they attended real estate seminars together and had a photo of Galina taking part in the attempted rehabilitation of one of their formerly-owned properties.
LossMitPro, a previous associate of Casey's, reported his impressions of Galina, formed during a dinner meeting with the Serins:
- Galina Serin can best be described as a “lady” in the truest sense of that word. She is vastly different than her husband, both in behavior and speech. She is poised, well-mannered and gracious typifying a subservient yet supportive and loving Christian wife. She will speak her mind when appropriate, but mostly allows Casey to control the substance of discussions. She is quiet and soft spoken.
- Galina does not make rash statements; she speaks deliberately -- always with a purpose, and is apparently of a very rational mind. When she speaks direct eye contact is predominant, and mannerisms convey a strong sense of sincerity.
- She understands the complexities of what Casey does with his blog, but I sense (based on body language) does not approve. She is a private person who is less compulsive than Casey -- as is obvious by her physical reactions to certain stimuli. (For instance during our talks I made a number of trigger statements to seek reactions from both, Galina and Casey.)
- As to the matter of whether or not Galina willfully participated in Casey’s Real Estate forays? I believe she had but in the role of a supportive wife, not with any criminal (wrong doer) intent. (If she is a grifter, which I seriously doubt, she was taught by one far more skilled in manipulative tactics than Casey -- who is inept at hiding areas of sensitivity.)
- With respect to Galina’s transfer of property title to Casey? This is a common & customary practice in the State Of California, when one spouse is on paper (signatory to a loan) and the other is not. That does not mean Galina knew or understood what Casey was actually doing.
- Regarding her credit card involvement? This too is a non-issue to prove any conspiratorial acts or duplicity. Galina’s personality type is to generally go-with-the-flow where her husband is concerned, resisting only when she fully understands the gravity and consequences of an issue. In short I sense, but cannot absolutely prove, that when it came to using credit cards? Galina simply believed Casey’s contentions and allowed the process.
- Please note the above does not mean I am 100 percent accurate, and is not offered to you as absolute fact (proof of no wrong doing by Galina). There are some variables here (a few, not many) although the probabilities are, reasonably, that Galina’s involvement in Casey’s fiascoes is not as coconspirator, but nothing more than a supportive and loving wife.[3]
Duane LeGate, another Serin ally-turned-hater, had this to add, in a May 31, 2007 post to EN:
- What I also know... KNOW... is that Galina has nothing to do with nothing. LossMit(BOOO) was DEAD on in his assessment about Galina.
Casey decided Galina didn't need an education earlier in 2007. According to his own blog, Galina helped him burn a couple of CD's.[4] Nobody knew at the time that Casey made Galina quit school so she would "help" him. Nigel Swaby has confirmed this situation as a fact.
- Just before our “break-up” call, I asked Casey specifically about this. He said he made her quit school so she could help him work. A couple days later, we found out that “work” involved copying a bunch of CDs. I’m pretty sure these were NRU CDs for Savvy Chris.
Later on, Swaby confirmed that Galina had done most of the work herself.[5]
On June 18th, 2007, having been left in the dark by her husband, Galina became exasperated when CashCall informed her that they were beginning litigation procedures against the couple. See the CashCall page for the e-mail's contents. Since he's in Australia, he has every reason to feel safe and calm... after all, since Galina is not him, she's unimportant (or so he thinks).
On June 30, 2007, Duane confirmed that Galina had, in fact, started the paperwork for a legal separation from Casey.
October 22, 2007, was the first scheduled court date for the divorce proceedings. Casey was reportedly too busy taking pictures of himself in Lamborghinis to bother to fly home to make an appearance. The last date listed in the Yolo County Superior Court calendar for Serin vs. Serin was March 17, 2008, at which the divorce presumably became final.

Galina has, allegedly, posted several times on EN under the moniker 'Galina'. Furthermore she appears to have posted via the proxy-manlet DLG on CH.C several times including a lengthy expose of her marriage. As it is impossible to verify with her as to the veracity of such postings it is still not really known what Galina thinks of all the saga.

As of August 2008, Casey Serin has mentioned on truecasey.com that Galina gave him hope of dating or re-marrying him if he changed his ways. Snowflake hasn't yet understood that her comment was somewhat similar to his payment promises to Cashcall.
