July 2nd 2007: in this post on IAFF, Casey returns. But to where?
Casey is back in the US after a "good and productive" trip to Australia:
- Only spent about $400 or so but made a thousand or two in extra income - money to send home and money to live on and be able to make a turn-around.
Back to harsh reality, he notes "Now I have to deal with all this crap here." But where is he staying? Who knows: he's not saying.

Many commenters ask Casey where he is:
- From where are you posting? Everyone knows where you’re NOT posting from.[1]
- Where is “here”? Your old bedroom in your parents’ house? A park bench? The V-dubs?[2]
Svetogorsk baits Casey with his income statement:
- So let me get this straight - over the course of three weeks you made between $600 and $1,600? I hate to say it, Casey, but that’s really not very impressive - just try comparing it with what the average W-2 job-holding looser will have banked over the same period.[3]
A stung Casey later responds: "Actually now that I check my PayPal account and the money I put into our bank account I made over $3K while I was gone, that’s after the $400 or so of expenses." and reiterates: "Now it’s time to get back into solving this mess."[4]
