I Survived Foreclosure
From CaseyPedia
I Survived Foreclosure[1] (ISF) is a website started by notorious fraud Casey Serin in order to distribute his e-book products. The website went through several name changes during its brief existence to date.

[edit] 7 Foreclosure Mistakes
ISF was launched as 7ForeclosureMistakes.com on September 6, 2008. It initially consisted only of a single page announcing the upcoming release of a free e-book, which would be available to anybody who provided an email address. Unfortunately, the email-collection mechanism does not work because the trial subsciption to the shopping cart software selected by Casey only permits collection of up to 50 email addresses before upgrading. This situation was eventually rectified with the application of sufficient corporate credit.
The site was almost immediately abandoned as Casey started his Casey.TV project, his twitter initiative and his Salt Lake City visit. He returned to the site in late September, when he tweaked it further.
The "sample" e-book called 7 Foreclosure Mistakes was finally published on October 6, 2008. It was a rough draft full of errors and mistakes. Casey's intent was to make the e-book available only to individuals who provided an email address, but the link for a direct download was left unprotected and quickly circulated among Haterz™. Few email addresses were collected.
[edit] My Foreclosure Story
For approximately three days after publishing the e-pamphlet, Casey posted about his concerns over the best domain and book name to use. Initially he registered MyForeClosureStory.com and briefly created a header for the site with that title, including stolen logos from all the media outlets that reported on the IAFF story. A day later, after Haterz™ reported him to all the major media companies for violating their trademarks, Casey removed the offending logos.
[edit] Final Renaming of the Site and Info Product
Shortly after this, Casey changed the site name again to I Survived Foreclosure. Haterz™ commented that living in a cheap motel with no income and a dwindling corporate credit account could hardly be considered meaningful financial survival but the name stuck.
On October 14th, Casey posted on TrueCasey that he was feeling "overwhelmed" and was going to publish a rough draft of the full-length e-book the next day.[2] The "rough draft" e-book was placed online at 11:59 p.m. according to Casey's clock but FalseCasey disputed the time, stating that he was one minute late.[3] The timestamp of Casey's announcement on TC supports FalseCasey's version of events.[4]
The e-book did not enjoy any sales in its first 12 hours online, however a copy was located by Haterz™. FalseCasey posted a review, stating:
- 19 pages including the cover and a page of disclaimers. It's not even really a book, it's just an advertising pamphlet including a link to his archive, which is available free to anybody who wants to search for it. Actual useful content for somebody who is in foreclosure? Zero pages.[5]
FalseCasey later added additional information by way of comments to his original review. These included selected quotes from the book and a brief listing of contents:
- Page 1: Title
- Page 2: Copyright and disclaimers, same as the free e-book
- Page 3-10: Casey explains how he came to be putting this product together. Sort of new content, but who cares?
- Page 11-12: Link to IAFF archive and a bit of detail about what Casey plans to do with it.
- Page 13-17: Reproduction of the first IAFF post and link to it.
- Page 18-19: Explains that it is a rough draft, but you're entitled to updates and membership in his site, if either ever happens.
