In this episode of IAFF, Casey posts two handwritten agreements he has made with Galina, and hosts a talkcast.

It's showdown time at Chateau Serin: he has made a written commitment to Galina that he will put, by next Friday, the sum of $1000 cash-in-hand on the table™, otherwise it's curtains time for IAFF and - worse - he will have to get a real job™ (which might even involve actual work). Other interesting conditions include the fact that this $1,000 may not be in the form of a "loan or cash advance or donation". There is also a self-imposed ban on talking about Galina or other family members on the blog, which Serin himself immediately violated by posting about the above agreements.

Casey then goes on to host a talkcast lasting 3 hours. In contrast to the previous beg-a-thon no direct attempt is made to raise money. Interesting callers include Duane LeGate and Declan McCullagh, the CNET reporter. The Duane LeGate segment is transcribed here. During the talkcast, Casey seems to be slightly confused about the difference between his marriage and the blog:

...she was ready to pull the plug and everything, I mean I really respect her and love her, and how it was always between money and fame, and the blog - I was gonna kind of - sorry, it was between money and fame and my marriage, I'd definitely choose my marriage...

[edit] Comments

In the comments, Casey reflects on the marathon talkcast:

I definitely took a beating out there! 3 hours!! [...] Man… I’m tired… need a wheat grass shot. I wish I had some money about now. (I know I know… that was some baiting… but hey… a little bit is OK right?)

In comments later redacted, he notes "What’s really crazy is that I put myself against the wall with this agreement with my wife. All of you are witnesses. No way to wiggle out of this one… I don’t think." and "It’s all good though…"

He also reflects more on Duane LeGate:

I said on the podcast that I still respect Duane even in light of his violating my privacy.. well.. now that I think about it more and more… that was REALLY REALLY low! Duane doesn’t have much respect from me.
