Investment
From CaseyPedia
Traditionally, an investment involves the purchase of some item for its future financial potential, which may be realized either in the form of ongoing passive income or a capital gain when the item is later sold for a profit, or frequently the combination of both. Successful real estate investments usually involve some aspects of both.
Investments are typically differentiated from trades or flips which are designed to take advantage of short term market fluctuations.
Casey Serin, a man with no background in economics, let alone a college education, has infuriated many of the Haterz™ by repeatedly referring to his fraudulently-obtained property purchases as "investments" when in the opinion of many, they failed to meet any of the definitions of a real investment.
