Joseph M. Mercola (born 1954) is a licensed osteopathic physician and a dietary guru with special knowledge in the field of juicing.[1]

Casey Serin follow's Mercola's juicing plan, although he does note one technical exception: "The only thing I don’t agree with him is he recommends avoiding fruit juice and sweet veggies like carrots because it raises insulin and what not."[2]

Mercola also advises against microwave cooking: "microwave cooking is not natural, nor healthy, and is far more dangerous to the human body than anyone could imagine."[3] Serin reported "strong success" in following this advice during 2006.[4] Serin's personal-productivity guru Steve Pavlina also advises against microwave cooking, apparently prompted by Mercola's articles.[5][6]
