Koi

A koi is a kind of fancy fish, greatly enjoyed by pleather-clad mortgage broker Nigel Swaby, who noted at his blog Don't Hate Casey:
- At our old house we had a 25,000 gallon fish pond with Koi and Comets in it. There was a tree that covered most of the pond and when we moved in you could see the very bottom of the pond.
- In the spring when it got sunny again, but before the leaves regrew, this pond full of fish grew a ton of algae. Our pond guy put in some bacteria to take care of it, because the fish didn't eat the algae.
- My point is this is mostly algae caused by the sun.[1]
