List of times Casey has quit the internet

Casey Serin is no stranger to "leaving the internet forever." Strangely, he always seems to come back. Below is a list of the known incidents in which Casey has resolved to "go offline" or has shuttered his blogs without warning:

Contents

[edit] September 24, 2006

Three weeks after opening IAFF, Casey shut it down, citing "too much exposure." Three days later, the blog was back up, minus some references to his family and loan details.

[edit] May 31, 2007

IAFF was shut down again in the wake of Casey's breach of his contract with Galina, shortly after which Casey flew to Australia and re-opened the blog.

[edit] July 29, 2007

IAFF shut down for good; Casey resolves to get a W-2 job in accordance with his contract (which he did not).

[edit] October 29, 2007

Casey calls into Nigel's KoiCast anonymously, claiming that by not stating his name he is "not really online" and is still living in accordance with the "staying offline" clause of his contract.

[edit] November 2, 2007

All references to Casey's name are removed from the Foreclosure Help Book web site, seemingly because Casey still believes he has a chance with Galina if he stops using his name on the Internet.

[edit] November 17, 2007

Casey shuts down his newest blog creation, Escape My House. Once again, the reason cited is that Casey still thinks he has a chance of winning back Galina.

[edit] January 29, 2008

Casey shuts down Millionaire By Christmas, apparently not realizing that e-mailing 8,000 people with a direct order to buy as many shares as one can afford of a speculative penny stock resembled a pump scheme.

[edit] October 29, 2008

Casey shuts down TrueCasey, citing in the footnotes that he still believes that he has a chance of winning back Galina. The divorce had been finalized for more than six months by this point.

[edit] October 11, 2009

Island2012 goes "underground" and the site is shut down, leaving the site's two or three legitimate sponsors unsurprisingly thrown under the bus. Casey claims that Island2012 is not dead, and that "the Law of Attraction does not require internet marketing or publicity to work." The site returns two days later, with the sponsors list wiped clean. For all intents and purposes, however, Island2012 is dead at this point (as though it had ever lived to begin with).

[edit] January, 2010

Casey's Facebook page disappears. Island2012.com is still up and running with its countdown clock. By February 14, he was back on Twitter.

[edit] August 21, 2010

Casey briefly shuts down I Am Fighting Foreclosure for a couple of days. It returns on August 24 in seemingly the same state in which it was left.
