Romano's Macaroni Grill is the favorite chain restaurant of failed flippers and pleather-clad mortgage brokers.

Ironically, grilled macaroni is not available on its moderately-priced, overdraft-friendly menu.[1]

The Macaroni Grill became prominent in the Casey Serin story after Serin posted bank account statements that, amongst overdraft charges and Jamba Juice wheatgrass shots, showed that the penniless failure had recently enjoyed a $41 meal there.[2] Macaroni Grill immediately became a running joke amongst haterz as an illustration of both Serin's poor fiscal control and his somewhat-mundane corporate tastes. Serin would later protest that the meal was "a special occasion."[3]

Casey Serin recommends the "whole-grain pasta with artichoke and grilled salmon" as part of his modified vegan diet.[4][5] Nigel Swaby reports that the "balsamic chicken on angel hair" is "Tasty!"[6]

Macaroni Grill is owned by Brinker International, whose "powerful and unprecedented portfolio of outstanding concepts" also includes the casual-dining chains Chilli's, On The Border, and Maggiano's Little Italy. Brinker describes their business in Serin-esque terms: "Our game plan is status go ... we are constantly looking ahead, building on our strengths, and reaching for new goals."[7]
