Mark Villaseñor - Stupid Ex Parte Hearing
From CaseyPedia
July 4th 2007: in this post on IAFF, Casey updates us on his legal travails and enters judge ignore mode.
Casey discovers that LossMitPro has followed through on his notice of intention and filed against him. He decides the best course is to ignore the whole "stupid" process:
- Ok, so he is not bluffing, so lets see how good his hand is. Too bad I am not even going to be in town for the stupid hearing (I guess he did that on purpose). I hope the judge laughs at the whole thing. (Perhaps somebody can go to court for me and lemme know what happens?)
He reproduces LossMitPro's email and the caption sheet of the revised complaint; and again begs for help:
- If you have a tip or an idea for me how I can put a stop to these haters sabotaging my efforts to earn a living through this blog, let me know. Thanks to all those who already sent me some great tips and attorney referrals.
Presumably the one "tip" he's ignoring is the same advice that LossMitPro himself repeatedly gave him: consult an attorney.
Casey opens the post with a quick travel/mooching update, which as usual seems calculated to annoy the haterz with partial revelations:
- I flew straight to Seattle from Sydney and have been staying with a supporter for a couple of days, discussing possible business ventures. Big thanks to the supporter for covering my airfare and stay. I also had a chance to meet with a few other supporters. Now I’m in Portland area with some friends for a day or so. Will not be back to Sacramento until the end of the week.
[edit] Comments
Casey later comments with an update noting that the hearing is to be rescheduled, likely to Tuesday July 10th. No more "I'm out of town" excuses now, then.[1]
He goes on to describe watching "the best fireworks I have ever seen" in a comment that gives is location as Vancouver, WA, and baits the haterz a little more: "I’ll answer questions as I can… gonna be busy today… driving back to Sac." Answering questions? Driving?[2]
Casey makes a somewhat incoherent comment describing his tangled relationship with LossMitPro, describing a five-hour "heart to heart" telephone conversation from Australia during which he decided to break his NDA with Marty Stewart and send LossMitPro a copy of his contract with him:
- It’s not like there is anything crazy in there. It just a simple joint-venture agreement. Yes, I know its written kind of funny, almost like a sales letter, but still. There is nothing bad or illegal in there.
Except for the asset-hiding agreement, hmm?
He labels LossMitPro "a hot head" who is "stabbing me in the back" and "has been playing both sides from the very start" and promises:
- I’m gonna gather my thoughts and write up a whole post detailing all of my involvement with Mark from the start. Hey, I’m not the kind of guy who put crap on the internet about people but since Mark is asking for it I figure I’ll provide some free publicity. You know, I want to help his future clients know exactly what they are getting into.[3]
Um, Casey: read up on "trade libel". You know: the subject of LossMitPro's complaint.
[edit] Deletion
The post was deleted by Casey on July 8th 2007, apparently on legal advice.
