Martin James Stewart (born January 16, 1974) describes himself as an "Internet Marketing, Traffic Driving Expert, Traffic Strategist, Consultant, Visionary, Creative Marketing, Idea Guy"[1]. A screenshot of a webpage shows a discussion and work product related to "Marty Stewart/Pagedaddy.com's and Casey Serin's new joint venture entity yet to be named."[2]

A self-created video message from Mr. Stewart is available online at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1175369286576326548 along with a video testimonial for an Internet marketing seminar at http://www.authoritysummit.com/

Stewart generally refers to his collaborations with other website authors as "joint ventures", which leads one to think they are of the Cheech and Chong caliber. Stewart's assistance will no doubt be helpful in monetizing IAFF, as he's been able to earn as much as $7.41 per DAY from one of his own websites.[3]

[edit] Interview

In an interview with Declan McCullagh, many juicy tidbits were revealed:[4]

[edit] Publishing Deal

Stewart and his company, PageDaddy.com, of which he is the forefront, are moving forward on a publishing deal with Casey to produce a series of four books under the title of The Foreclosure Code:

Stewart: [...] from the calls on the book series, our initial plans were to do the first book, which is basically just telling everything that had happened to him up to this point, the second and/or third one would focus on, one was specifically for real estate investors, one was specifically for people that were in foreclosure or that had gone on through foreclosure sharing their stories or are facing foreclosure, and the fourth one, ultimately, would be Casey's success story, at least, everything that happened in between. So the way we looked at it, this was like a 12 month process [...]
McCullagh: [...] are you paying Casey, or is he paying you for this publishing deal?
Stewart: Uh, we have a strategic publishing deal, with what both parties are bringing to the table.

[edit] Stewart Comments on This Entry

Stewart complained about alleged copyright violations on this page:

McCullagh: Are you happy about being dragged into the Casey Serin saga? You have your own entry on Caseypedia.com now.
Stewart: [...] As far as the Caseypedia website, that photo of me -- that's a copyrighted photo that was taken off copyrighted back-end webpages, so there's going to be complaints filed with their ISP and their registrar.
McCullagh: Do you think that using a small image for purposes of criticism and commentary falls into the category of legal fair use?
Stewart: [5 seconds of silence] You mean, in other words, how the people can just swipe the content and just use it -- in other words, drag me into this as a public figure, is that what you mean?
McCullagh: Well, I'm just wondering if using a small image for an encyclopedia entry that doesn't have any advertising would be considered fair use.
Stewart: I wouldn't consider it fair use, because that's a photo of me that was uploaded on our company website [...] and every one of our webpages prominently have copyright notices on them [...] I mean, is it a big deal, does it bother me? Maybe not, maybe so. I'm just amazed at how much time these losers have to dig up all this stuff, what does it have to do [with Casey]?

... this coming from a person who blatantly rips off the title, font, and cover artwork of a best selling novel.

While Stewart rants about being purportedly outed by Haterz™, Duane LeGate posted on Exurban Nation:

It was Casey himself that outed Marty... Casey just doesn’t want it known that HE broke the NDA... I wrote down everything Casey had told me including the URL of the new book.[5]

[edit] Under the Bus

  • On July 11th, Casey announced that he was no longer seeking to publish his story with Marty. In an email to him....
M**** , there is going to be no book and no blog. Sorry to do this. But if you are a good person (business aside) you will understand. If don’t stop now I WILL lose my wife. That is not a good trade off for me. This is final. Sorry I don’t want to talk on the phone at this time. Lets wait until tomorrow. This is a hard decision. Thanks for all your help but I am exiting. I DO NOT want the book to be published without me either. Again, I hope you understand. Also our agreement is calling me to do illegal things (putting my digital assets into entities while I am defaulting on all my lenders). I didn’t know it until I had a professional look at it. You probably didn’t know either. Either way, this whole thing is about to cost my my marriage and I must stop NOW. Sorry for the troubles.[7]
  • On July 12th, Marty showed up on a talkcast hosted by Casey. He had it out with Casey and LossMitPro until Duane finally stepped in and intervened. Right before he left, he told Casey to call him "tonight".[citation needed]
  • On July 13th, Marty posted on ForeclosureCode.com that Casey has not been in direct contact with him for 5 days already. His unhappiness with Casey is evident as he rants about the negative effect all this publicity has had on his and the company's reputations, as well as the loss of time, energy and money. He implies ominously that there is "more to follow" unless Casey goes back to their joint venture agreement.[8]
  • On July 14th, a further update was posted, threatening to reveal full details of the contract signed between Marty and Casey unless Casey responds.[9]
  • On July 15th, another update was posted, stating that Casey had called Marty on Saturday after all. Marty expects Casey to continue talking with him on Monday or Tuesday about how to conclude their business relationship in a satisfactory way. The next post on the Foreclosure Code site is supposed to expose the details of their joint venture.[10]

[edit] Astroturfing

Before being thrown under the bus, Marty called in to a number of IAFF Talkcasts, under the names "PageDaddy" and "Marty2007". During these early days, Marty is one of Casey's staunchest Supporterz™, regularly referring to the Haterz™ as people who are merely jealous of Casey's unmitigated success, and people who cannot speak with any authority as they are not themselves highly successful mortgage felons. Due to the fact that negotiations with Serin had been ongoing during the weeks and months prior to some of the later talkcasts, the possibility is raised that Casey likely asked Marty to call in and provide support on the talkcasts, while Casey would pretend not to have any business relationship with Stewart. Such deception is hardly out of character for the admitted fraudster.

After Casey declared NO DEAL on The Foreclosure Code "book series," Marty called in to Casey's "all-star" Talkcast and remarked that he could see where the Haterz™ were coming from all along.
