Never Say Never: I am Facing Foreclosure is Back!

June 6th 2007: Casey just can't stay away, and resurrects IAFF after an excruciating 6 days of blogging withdrawal symptoms.

After the downtime, IAFF now remains "a story that will continue to be told." Casey trolls a cliffhanger for the next post, which will tell "why [he] was forced to bring this foreclosure blog back up."

Forced? By LossMitPro? By The Uncles? By CashCall, the blog arguably being Serin's biggest asset? Stay tuned, Haterz™.

[edit] Revisions

Casey almost immediately revises the post to add "I thought I was NEVER going to be back online", mentions that "there has (sic) been some recent developments", and lists a number of "lessons learned" including: "be very careful what you promise."

The "new" IAFF is purged of a number of posts in which Casey discusses his wife Galina and his marriage, including:

Most of the photographs in Casey's Flickr account are also brought back online, with the exception of any photographs involving Galina. In addition, his talkcast page is updated with the tagline "I'm back! Sweet!", although no new episode is scheduled.

Casey revises his comments form to add a sterner warning: "Comments that mention my family in any way or comments that are too disrespectful / inappropriate will be deleted without notice and you may get banned from this blog."

[edit] Comments

Casey comments that "being down for a week was no ploy", and states that all advertisers had been refunded "fairly (in full or partially depending on what each person wanted to do)". Casey again notes that "lately it has been nothing but craziness.", "it" arguably referring to Casey's marriage, mental health, eating habits, or interactions with law enforcement.

Galina-ogler LossMitPro comments:

Relaunching this blog is a mistake, IN THE EXTREME! Although I’ll have much more to say about this through private email… Look for that sometime tonight.

And look for a public Duane LeGate-esque bustup in the near future. The very near future: the next day, LossMitPro issues a "wondering if Casey will dare post this one" challenge:

In a very short time each and every post under the nom de plume (pseudonym) of LossMitPro, will vanish from IAFF… Poof! And if they don’t then Casey will see a side of me that’s not so pretty, and this site itself may go poof once again! (Yeah, it’s like that; give me the power of Subpoena and watch what happens to our golden boy? Methinks Casey knows better, but I’ve been wrong about him thus far – he may just decide to play me further for a fool.)

Timeline Guy drops by for a masterful fisking:

So now I am “activity of which we cannot speak”™ in such a way as to maximize my sweet™ potential for success without ever bringing attention to “those of which we cannot speak”™ or “those of which we cannot speak”™’s sister™, which would cause a “consequence of which we cannot speak”™.
Pretty clear, eh?

[edit] Responses

Pin-salesman-to-the-stars Nigel Swaby continues to ride Casey's coat-tails with a vacuous post in which he leaks one tiny nugget of information: "Casey Serin is still a married man." Swaby is intentionally vague with the quotation, leaving open the possibility that Casey got a quickie divorce and re-married new "life partner" Swaby himself. Schnapps comments: "Married does not mean living together; it simply means not legally divorced or single."

R-Boy continues his dogged pursuit of Casey with a comment "piecing together all the juicy leads" that suggests the real reason IAFF returned:

Essentially Casey sold his rights to a self-publishing group and I guess they're feverishly working on the book and IAFF is the promotional vehicle. I believe that this was part of the contract so that is why IAFF is back up.
It is very likely that Casey paid a few thousand upfront for fees. It's also likely that his expected commission per book is around 1 buck.
