Newbies

A newbie is someone new to computing or the Intrawebz.... however in the IAFF / EN world it really means someone who is simply gobsmacked at what KC has done and is stumbling around trying to decide if;
- It's all true? (classic newbie - the larvae)
- He must have done it accidentally! (newbie stage 2 - larvae grow).
- He needs help - let me give him some advice! (newbie stage 3 - larvae hatch - aka Supporterz™).
- He ignored my advice! - screw him!!! - (newbie state 4 - mosquito is airborne - transition to Haterz™).
- Comments at EN - (newbie is no newbie now - mosquito starts looking for targets).
- Joins Caseypedia - (a died in the wool Haterz™ club) - (mosquito is now biting targets).
- Joins Caseyhaterz.com - (a forum where many gather together) - (mosquito upgrades to malaria capability).
- Gets banned from one of the above - (mosquito gets slapped by The Dude or Dawg
(Note - newbies can self abort and become simply lurkerz™ at the larvae stage).
A sure sign of a newbie is someone who "corrects" the deliberately satirical misspelling of the word 'looser'. IAFF commenter 'Yohann' provided a classic example[1] with this attempted smackdown:
If you leave a note bashing someone’s spelling, try spelling correctly yourself. It is LOSER, not looser, dumbass. Also, it is SPELLED, not spelt, idiot. This should be a heads-up to all of you out there to stay in school and learn something before posting letters in public places.
Unluckily (or hilariously, according to taste), Yohann was wrong about 'spelt' too - it's a legitimate alternative spelling.
