No Limits Ladies
From CaseyPedia
The No Limits Ladies (frequently abbreviated to NLL) is the name both of a website consisting of "a women's financial freedom blogging community" and of the website's respective members.
Two of the No Limits Ladies, Erin Morgan (aka PrLinkBiz) and Joy O'Day, enticed Casey Serin into signing a rather poorly-written contract in which, in exchange for vague promises of mentoring and guidance in his current real estate situation, the two women would own the rights to all of Serin's story and any profits obtained from its use in any form at any time in the future. They claimed that he was ready to "hit the ground running."[1]
While the two women did facilitate Serin's appearance on Robert Kiyosaki's program, they did little else.[2][3][4]
Serin signed the contract impulsively and without consulting his wife Galina. He suffered almost immediate buyers' remorse, but was held to the contract by Morgan, quoting her as saying "I’m not voiding that contract!". A later approach to Morgan was similarly rebuffed: "You ain’t gonna weasel out of it with your ‘nice guy’ approach!"[5][6][7]
Several prominent haterz™ have opined that the contract was unenforceable and probably illegal. Duane LeGate went so far as to have it reviewed by an actual attorney and believes that it would be deemed void by any court that had to rule on it.[8] Prompted by LeGate, on January 25th 2006 Serin published the contracts on IAFF under the title "NO DEAL!!".[9]
On publication of the contracts, Jeremy O'Day (Joy's husband), apparently on behalf of the No Limits Ladies, submitted a DMCA complaint to Casey's webspace provider, which temporarily disabled the IAFF website. The No Limits Ladies website also went down for several days, leading Serin and Nigel Swaby to speculate that "they probably took it down to hide evidence."[10][11][12]
On approximately February 12, 2007, Serin got a telephone call from an attorney representing the No Limits Ladies inviting him to travel to Arizona for an in-person discussion regarding the dispute. The proposal apparently failed due to lack of funds to pay for the travel.[13]
The contractual situation with the No Limits Ladies remains unresolved. Duane LeGate has also pointed out that while this contract remains in place it is a severe hindrance to others wishing to get involved with Serin, to the effect that NLL may issue nuisance suits. Although such suits would almost certainly not hold up in court, they would still take effort and cash to defend.
Serin later enacted another dubious contract with a book publisher to tell his story. It remains unclear whether, or how, he or his publisher will resolve the pre-existing contract with the No Limits Ladies.[14]
