Norway Would Be a Sweet Place to Visit
From CaseyPedia
July 23rd 2007: in this post on IAFF, Casey dreams of Norway.
In a (presumably) paid post, Casey waxes lyrical about Norway, home of the common lemming and one of the most extortionately expensive countries in the world.
Still, given that he's been prepared to pay up to $40 for a Jamba Juice in the past, this will doubtless be less of a shock to him than it would be to most people.
Casey attempts a macroeconomic view of Norway; an attempt which consists of regurgitating a large chunk of text from Wikipedia and adding a baitin' comment on Norway's booming state fund: "I wonder what kind of assets they’re looking for…" Oh, delinquent mortgages and casinos, for sure, Casey.
He illustrates the text with pictures supplied by his sponsor, Scenic Norway, including several images of Oslo's Vigeland sculpture park.
[edit] Comments
In response to a comment regarding peak oil, Casey admits that he had nearly been fooled into believing that the apocalypse was nigh. He has since found a new shiny and now dismisses the peak oil scare.
- I was starting to buy into it and even started looking into honing my surviving / fishing / farming skills. But then I talked to someone who is involved in funding $700 million for a cold-fusion type of battery-thingy that basically never runs out of energy. ... (It’s sweet to have access to these types of connections.)[1]
