An olympic pin is a standard shirt pin issued to commemorate any occurrence of the Olympic Games. Thirtysomething basement dweller Nigel Swaby likes to brag about his brief career selling these pins at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Swaby claimed to have hobnobbed with various celebrities, which spawned a multitude of snarky posts on EN, allegedly from these very celebrities claiming to be looking for contact information to reconnect with Swaby. At least one celebrity, however, was not amused by Swaby's name dropping:

Don't ya be postin' ma name roun' here, Ni-jell. Jes' because ya meet me no mean ya know me. Course ya be meetin' me, mahn, who else the Jamaican got for the celebrity? No swaby, no cry, mahn.[1]

For many people, being a pin salesman would constitute the low point of their resume, but Swaby is oddly proud of his erstwhile job, all but relishing it as a high point in his life.
