Russ Whitney

Russ Whitney is a real estate seminar guru^[1] whose pitch was unsurprisingly bought into hook, line, and sinker by Casey Serin.

Russ Whitney was Serin's gateway drug into seminarland. After he and Galina saw a Whitney pitch on late-night television in late 2004, they attended a free two-hour presentation at which they were sold a $3000 introductory bootcamp. Serin reported that the bootcamp "didn't provide much real information", but none-the-less raised $8000 by borrowing from credit cards to attend a further three focused bootcamps on wholesaling, foreclosures and lease options.^[2]

Serin would soon attempt to apply the lessons learnt from the wholesaling bootcamp in an unsuccessful deal in Denver, CO.^[3]
