Solar algae
From CaseyPedia
Solar Algae is a specific type of algae native to a single pool in Modesto, California. Coincidentally, the pool was located in the backyard of a house formerly owned by Casey Serin.
Utah pin salesman Nigel Swaby claimed that the algae, which sprouted in the pool after it had fallen into disuse over a period of eight months, was of heliocentric origin: "My point is this is mostly algae caused by the sun."[1]
Swaby went on to describe his koi pond and indoor pool, neither of which suffer from solar algae.[2][3]
