Talk:Casey Serin

Hi guys, can someone enlighten me as to whether we're going for a more serious Wikipedia tone here (without interference from the WikiNazis) or a light-hearted Uncyclopedia Dramatica tone. Right now, I'm sort of mixing the two together... but would like to come to a consensus. Thanks  :-) Benoit™ 01:49, 20 May 2007 (CEST)

I started out all wikipedia-ishly serious, but found after about 3 paragraphs it was more fun to mix. What I'd like to see is a light-hearted rendition of the facts with as few superfluous embellishments as possible (guilty as charged, m'lud), and where possible with references to whatever the respective article's talking about. That way it's fun to write, fun to read and yet gives a useful overview over the whole darn flipfest. NoDebtWhatSoEver™ 01:56, 20 May 2007 (CEST)

Physique: Casey's talked a number of times about how he used to lift weights etc -- all the more funny given his generally scrawny appearence. Could work in the highlights (see Nacho transcript). Could work in his recent comment "a lot of you say I look sick". Etc. --Lawnmower man 09:22, 28 May 2007 (CEST)

[edit] Marriage Year

There is some confusion over Casey's wedding year (the date of April 3rd is certain though). On the tapes, he says a couple of times that he and Galina were married in 2004. Yet I can swear he wrote that his Hawaiian vacation, taken in April 2006, was for his third anniversary. In addition, at least one of the sweet media articles (Declan's first article? Not looking it up now) mentions that Galina was married at age 20, again implying a 2003 date. I changed the year in the article from 2004 to 2003 a few weeks back, wondering if it should be changed back...?! -- Benoit™ 21:55, 14 June 2007 (CEST)

I don't think Casey really understands the concept of "time"... any "facts" would have to come from Galina or Steve for me to buy it. Leave as is? -- NotAnOptimist 21:58, 14 June 2007 (CEST)
April 3rd 2007, Three Crazy Years: "Today is our 3 year anniversary!" -- purged from IAFF and no longer cached by Google, but Marty-n-Casey-nemesis Alexa has the goods. --Lawnmower man 22:12, 14 June 2007 (CEST)
Well, this coming from a guy who doesn't know what his parents do for a living. heh. But OK. In addition, I found this anonymous comment from the early days of Casey-Themed Egg Super Nation where 2004 is given as the year as well, apparently through sweet detective work. I'll change it back to 2004. -- Benoit™ 22:16, 14 June 2007 (CEST)

[edit] Sacramento County Court

ANyone know anything (benoit look into it please) about the serin searchs that come up in the california superior court regarding konstantine serin and Margarita serin as minors? They have a new name assigned to them as ad lit guardians and lawyers names...with PI next to the case info ..personal injury? There is allot of other serin's there too? Unnamed siblings? From what I can tell it is seperate accidents over the multiple years? --CHJTS 20:37, 1 July 2007 (CEST)

Only "Konstantin" is listed as a minor... the case involving Margarita (the middle initial V. stands for Victoria! That solves one mystery) was in March 2004, when Margarita was 19 years old. Some auto accident fallout. As far as Konstantin, I believe that it is a different person. His guardian is "Lidiya Serin", which is not a known relative. Plus the real Casey was not a minor in 2006. Plus the Serins in that case were listed as plaintiffs... I genuinely think it's a different group of Serins. Casey has a court record from 2003 for "Breach of Contract" against Aaron Lomax (the condo dweller) -- Casey goes by the name "Casey K. Serin", and that was back in 2003. He wouldn't have reverted to Konstantin, and be somehow declared a minor, three years later. It's just a coincidence -- "A Minor Konstantin Serin" is a different person. -- Benoit™ 21:39, 1 July 2007 (CEST)

[edit] His Life as a Looser

RESCOM isn't mentioned yet. And didn't he have one other very brief W-2 looser post at some point? (Per CH.C, but it's down now.) Koiwonder 20:22, 19 July 2007 (CEST)

Resume posted during the begathon. --Lawnmower man 20:37, 19 July 2007 (CEST)
Thanks! Writing this up somehow joins my to-do list. Koiwonder 05:16, 20 July 2007 (CEST)

[edit] Ethnicity

Says Russia: "Casey Serin is often inaccurately assumed to be Russian, though as a native of Uzbekistan he would have been born in the Soviet Union, a collection of states dominated by Russia. His native language is also Russian." Isn't the consensus that he's culturally or ethnically Russian, from the state of Uzbekistan? Not culturally or ethnically Uzbek, or if of multiple ethnicities, probably less so? Has it ever been established more certainly? Koiwonder 05:16, 20 July 2007 (CEST)
