Has LossMitPro outed himself yet? If not, this seems a little too "stocky". --Lawnmower man 19:56, 25 May 2007 (CEST)

[edit] LMP
The first time I took note of LossMittPro posting on EN, that same day, I quickly did the same few simple steps someone else has finally done, and compiled the same "case":
- Authored a single review on Amazon using handle and Amazon "real name"
- Yahoo identity
- Whois for the firm showed him as a contact for the CA loss mitigation firm
- Various other sporadic internet breadcrumbs.
That said, though, even though I was quite confident I had the right info, two things kept me from sharing directly:
1) It would be pretty easy to do a search for a weird handle, and then slip into that as a pseudopersona to do some dirty work or even post your real thoughts, but secure inside a virtual 'shield' that would route to another's (an INNOCENT'S!) identity if anyone snoops you. Ugly. I am not aware of occasions of this occurring, but the way things are today, it might become fairly routine. Not yourself, not anon, not ID thief (just aliasing on an existing handle, letting the smoke screen of other's prior activity be associated with you), not a sock puppet exactly, but kind of a "borrowed mitten", if you will. So you may *think* you know who someone is, but until you meet them face to face, you never REALLY know. And even then...
2) Even though he came across as kinda smarmy and know-it-all, he did not taunt, dare, or otherwise cross whatever line it is in my own threshold that would cause me to make sure the world knows who they are dealing with. I think most activity on EN regarding Casey is spot on, but I get the creeps when people edge over into purposely fraud clicking to mess him up, or otherwise interfering in his rotten little life. If it is okay to do to Casey, then who is next, and why do those activities rate much better than stuff Casey might do himself? I think generally EN and Caseypedia should take the sniggering, laughing, taunting, sarcastic, but generally higher road <chuckle> of only using self-confessed info to skewer folks, and not go into the shadowy net-stalker mode. IT is difficult to draw a bright line, because info is everywhere, and much of it is legit to refute claims, or add to the whole picture, but if the purpose is to stimulate fear or to squelch dialog, I think that line's pretty darn bright.
My 0.02.

- Did we all miss the clue he left on IAFF: "initials QAF"? --Lawnmower man 09:00, 8 June 2007 (CEST)
[edit] Yup, soemdood comment
Dang, sorry lawnmower man -- I did not mean to leave off identity to above comment -- I guess I have been Serinated and fallen into lazy expectation that *someone*, *somewhere* will just take care of everything automatically as I 'la, la, la' my way through the universe <laugh>
Okay, so now let me try the quad tilde thingie™... kewl!

[edit] Personal info removed
In my capacity of benevolent dictator I've removed the personal information.
On general principle:
- it's not 100% confirmed; I concur with the points above;
- even if it was confirmed, we're not running a witch hunt or general "outing" campaign (yet ;-). Unless there's a very speific reason, personal information on anyone who's not one of the "princpals" should be provided very sparingly, if at all.

Hey, did I ever tell ya 'bout this quad tilde thing...? <wink>

[edit] First person info
Here is some first-person-sourced stuff we can add, *IF* our benevolent dictator thinks it adds to the overall Casey story.
Having been in the (mortgage) asset recovery business for over 20 years (in Executive Management now...
Underwriting personnel are not stupid, folks, they know the “liar loan” game (and on occasion play it themselves)!...
I, frankly speaking, look with more distain upon those whom cast stones at Mr. Serin for doing what they’ve either done themselves or wish they had the guts to...

- no harm in posting links which allow folks to draw their own conclusions ;-). "Less is more" and all that. --NoDebtWhatSoEver™ 00:48, 26 May 2007 (CEST)
[edit] One of the principals?
I think the guy has become involved enough to warrant his full name and birthday. I'll admit he's not a jerk like Swaby, but he was actually outed by someone on EN a few days ago and he's started doing guest posts on IAFF!! This is all IMHO, but we've done the same thing for Casey's advertiserz™... Benoit™ 02:06, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
- Agree with Benoit: his name was redacted when he was still just a putative associate, but today's post positions him, from here on in, as a major player in the Serin saga. He's chosen to put himself in the spotlight. I say he's fair game. --Lawnmower man 02:13, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
- But see also this warning. Probably nothing more than saber-rattling, but still: take care that all statements about him are well-sourced. (If nothing else, he has himself given his first name.) --Lawnmower man 02:38, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
[edit] Yup, he's soundly in there....
Now is forcefully insinuating himself into the fray as an actor, and overtly stating he hopes to trade on this new 'fame' to garner clients. Providing public HORRIBLY INACCURATE LEGAL ADVICE (i.e. must pre-approve to apply Fair Use doctrine)... IMHO, he certainly is asking to be skewered using his own public statements and positions, if they are as laughably terrible as has been the case so far.
A public service.

[edit] Attractiveness equals innocence
Can someone find the citation where Mark basically asserted that Galina was innocent due to her relative attractiveness? I believe it was a comment on Egg Super Nation, but damned if I can find it... it would make a nice snark™ -- Benoit™ 06:20, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
- Is it not the one linked from the article? --Lawnmower man 09:15, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
- Ahh... sort of, I found it in a different comment from that same thread. Marky Mark says: "When dealing with Galina I was considering behaviors, not beauty. When one approaches such things remaining clinical it is not hard to achieve objectivity, even with someone as stunning as Galina. Good looks cannot hide telling behaviors." The Haterz proceed to lambaste him for that remark. -- Benoit™ 09:19, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
[edit] Looks like...
... Mr L.M. Pro has jumped the shark, missed, and landed floundering onto the decks of the unsinkable SS Serin of the White Jetta Line, in a move which may well become known as "doing a Swaby". NoDebtWhatSoEver™ 09:07, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
- A bit soon to describe him as "burned", based on his last comment alone? I think he has a while to go before he reaches full dish-the-dirt-at-EN flameout... --Lawnmower man 21:14, 7 June 2007 (CEST)
- OK, I was wrong: it took less than a day for him to reach flameout. --Lawnmower man 08:59, 8 June 2007 (CEST)
[edit] EN comments
Probably worth mining his comments at EN for juice -- ISTR he discussed there the nature of the relationship he and Casey were trying to establish? --Lawnmower man 09:03, 8 June 2007 (CEST)
