Thingy

A thingy is a shiny technical object.
Casey Serin habitually uses thingy to describe technology; for example, his comment-moderation tool is "my cell phone/PDA thingy",[1] an online chat applet is "a chat thingy",[2] a click-fraud prevention tool is "the IP filter thingy".[3]
A thingy can have magical properties unknown to those outside Casey's inner circle of Maxwell's demon practitioners. From their perspective, the second law of thermodynamics is irrelevant because of a "a cold-fusion type of battery-thingy that basically never runs out of energy."[4]
According to Urban Dictionary, thingy may also refer to "cock, choad, wang, johnson, man bits, oompah loompah".[5] Speculation about Serin's oompah loompa is probably best left to Casey's new secret Australian host.
