Between September 2006 and January 2007, Tim from MBA (or Tim from Monterey Bay Area in some postings) was one of the most prolific commenters on IAFF, his invariably lengthy posts generally being well-argued and extremely detailed, particularly when it came to analyzing the figures provided by Casey regarding his various financial dealings.
Tim was instrumental in persuading Casey to create his one and only publicly-available assets and liabilities spreadsheet[1], which showed a $2.2 million debt and some incredibly high interest rates from unsecured debt as well as 13 (?) credit cards in Galina's name. Additionally, Tim's predictions as to Casey's likely financial position by mid-2007 have subsequently turned out to be largely accurate.
However, Tim didn't stick around to receive the adulation, thanks to a well-documented meltdown on Exurban Nation at the start of 2007, which led to a series of ill-advised, alcohol-fueled posts that involved death threats and distasteful speculation about Casey's youngest sister. It says much for Tim's high standing in the Haterz™ community that many initially refused to believe that the posts could possibly have originated from him - though he subsequently confessed that they did and apologized profusely. Other than one unusually brief and somewhat suspect comment[2], he has not been heard from since.
