Timeline

Many Haterz™ websites have attempted to chronicle Casey's various exploits in a time-series type view. Unfortunately, his many 'sweet deals' and his subsequent 'disremembering' of important dates and details has effectively stymied even the most methodical catalogers of Serintology, at least to this point. Not to be confused with Timeline Guy™.

Also check out Casey's own version of the timeline.

July 9, 2007: Casey uses Google to convince himself that he has no chance of losing the lawsuit and takes a smug attitude towards his current situation

July 12, 2007: Casey announces that he has agreed to settle the lawsuit with LossMitPro, running Casey $1572.50 and giving up all rights to The Foreclosure Code; additionally, he has agreed to use the proceeds of selling his blog to pay off Galina's credit card debt

July 14, 2007: Casey apparently flakes out on the new agreements, and is reportedly "PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at a certain three "characters" that attempt to hold him to his commitments

October 8, 2007: Casey returns to blogging; announces new partnership with Damion Lupo to produce a book entitled "Foreclosure Help Book" with a new blog set up at ForeclosureHelpBook.com; right out of the gate, Casey attempts to make the new blog almost entirely about his personal life, with numerous posts about his wife and attempting to justify his actions and how he is still living up to the contract despite weaseling out of almost every single item on the list

October 13, 2007: Damion is reportedly "pissed" about Casey using the FHB blog to talk about his own personal life and marriage; all of Casey's personal posts are subsequently deleted; Damion takes over blogging duties, leaves Casey to perform various IT tasks

July 31, 2008: Casey makes a number of posts at CH.C, attempting to bounce ideas about the e-book off of some of the Haterz™ there. It becomes more apparent that the proposed e-book has not even been started yet, and Casey continues to be evidently flip-flopping on whether he wants to exert the effort to write such a book

[edit] TrueCasey / I Survived Foreclosure

August 10, 2008: Casey announces that he is launching an Escape My House e-book project

August 29, 2008: Casey launches Casey.tv, a webcam feed via UStream that allows visitors to watch him dick around on his computer in real-time from his bedroom at his parents' house

September 5, 2008: Casey appears in a television interview on Sunrise, Australia's #1 morning television program. Casey had intended to plug his blog and upcoming e-book, but he was either never given the opportunity or any such parts had been edited out in post-production. Casey asks "Why did they have to paint me as a criminal on the loose?", pulls down Casey.TV, disables and hides all blog comments, removes all other posts from the front page, and disappears for about a week.

September 15, 2008: Casey moves out of his parents' house

September 20, 2008: Casey flies out to Salt Lake City on the dime of three particularly charitable Haterz™; stays there for approximately two weeks living in Nigel Swaby's basement

October 4, 2008: Back in Sacramento, Casey moves into an extended-stay hotel and proclaims the start of his "30-day sink-or-swim challenge" because he claims his "startup capital" (corporate credit card) has almost run out

October 6, 2008: Casey posts a dismal "rough pre-release version" of his e-book which is available on I Survived Foreclosure; The book 7 Foreclosure Mistakes is available free in exchange for an email address; asks his blog's visitors to donate their time to edit, proofread, and rewrite his e-book for free; link to obtain the e-book is unprotected and circulates quickly; few email addresses are collected

October 14, 2008: Casey announces that he is "overwhelmed" by the work necessary to produce the complete e-book for sale; decides that another rough draft will become available for sale the next day in order to try to generate some revenue by the end of the month

October 15, 2008: Casey puts a brief, substanceless scrawl up for sale under the name I Survived Foreclosure; the book consists of a short rambling that details Serin's previous failed attempts to release a book about his story, and a reproduction of the first post of his old IAFF blog. The price for this monumental achievement is a bargain $49.95.

October 16, 2008: After receiving criticism for putting a mostly-still-unwritten book up for sale under the guise of a comprehensive "rough draft," Casey edited the order page to refer to all past and future $49.95 payments as "pre-orders." In later posts, Serin hints that he may not finish the e-book project at all, leaving his hypothetical paying customers predictably swindled.

October 24, 2008: Casey travels to Bethel Church in Redding, CA for a "revival meeting" at which "supernatural encounters with God happen regularly and miracles are common."

October 27, 2008: Casey reposts five conspiracy nut podcasts on his Talkshoe account; Haterz™ notice that these five podcasts put Casey over the threshold after which point he will begin receiving payments from Talkshoe. Casey is subsequently reported to the publishers of his misappropriated podcasts.

October 29, 2008: Casey makes his final post on TrueCasey and shuts off comments. A few days later, he takes down the blog entirely.

December 4, 2008: Casey puts truecasey.com up on eBay; it ultimately sells for around $80

December 5, 2008: Casey puts the blue ball up on eBay; it ultimately sells for around $100

[edit] Blogger Casey / Angel Lynn

May 10, 2009: Casey posts a public photograph of his paper journal to his Flickr account, leading to the "discovery" of his "private" blog, Blogger Casey. Casey claims that the posting was not intentional; nobody buys it. It becomes known that Casey is working as a PR/promoter for Angel Lynn, a Sacramento-area real estate agent. It is unclear whether the focus of this blog is intended to be personal (as Casey has posted photos of his personal journal entries) or business-oriented.

May 12, 2009: Casey makes a post on Blogger Casey promoting Angel Lynn, with links to two of her web sites. Casey uses the words "our" and "we" repeatedly, leading to the assumption (accurate or not) that Casey and Angel are in a business partnership of some kind. Haterz™ recall a similar situation in 2007 with Damion Lupo and FHB, and how that story ended.

May 13, 2009: Casey sets Blogger Casey to "invite-only". Is a shut-down imminent?

May 13, 2009: Casey makes a new post at Angel Lynn's blog. It appears that both blogs will continue in parallel, with Blogger Casey having a more "personal" slant while MyShortSaleAngel (Angel Lynn's blog) will largely focus on Angel's business and real estate activities.

May 15, 2009: Casey and the Angel Lynn office crew go to lunch. Casey eats a bowl of semi-vegan cajun beef tips.

May 18, 2009: Casey and Angel hold an open house at one of Angel's properties. The property appears to have been hastily repaired. Turnout is low.

May 18, 2009: A brief talkcast is held; Angel is scared away early on due to the nature of some of the less-intelligent callers.

May 19, 2009: Casey makes a post to Blogger Casey about the previous night's talkcast, and the nature of his work on Angel's blog. He mentions that he will continue to blog on Angel's behalf, but will do so with his own voice.

May 20, 2009: Casey asks his blog audience if he is "starting to make it all about Casey again". The answer is apparent.

May 22, 2009: Casey makes a post about being bitch-slapped by Angel over the Haterz™ that Casey has attracted to her blog. His posts on Angel's blog are henceforth tagged as "Angel's Staff Blogger".

May 27, 2009: BloggerCasey is set to "private" mode again, and it becomes apparent that Casey no longer works for Angel Lynn.

June 9, 2009: Casey re-re-relaunches Blogger Casey. He indicates that he wants to continue blogging, even though he is once again unemployed. Over the next couple of weeks, Casey posts a series of posts about essentially nothing.

June 21, 2009: Casey re-re-re-shuts down Blogger Casey without warning, this time for good.

June 22, 2009: Steve Serin launches the World's Worst Blog at steveserin.com. He initially takes a satirical approach to discussing Casey, but over the course of several weeks, Steve's blog becomes the single most important source of Casey information. At times Casey posts himself but eventually ceases posting when numerous imposter "Casey Serin" personalities appear.

Late July, 2009: Casey goes "camping", fulfilling his lifelong dream of living in a van. The van is reportedly damaged on the way into the woods, but despite that fact, Casey sits around, cleanses, and fiddles on the internet using the juice from running the van's engine.

[edit] Island 2012

August 12, 2009: Casey launches the "Serin Favor Network". His plan for the "network" appears to consist of little more than rounding up a large number of people and charging them a membership fee to be in his exclusive club, which does not appear to carry any actual benefits aside from some vague promises of non-existent "profit sharing".

August 13, 2009: Casey sees a meteor -- arguably while under the influence of one or more drugs -- and somehow receives inspiration for his latest scam.

August 16, 2009: Casey officially launches Island2012, which is initially described as a "social fundraising experiment", with the ultimate goal of purchasing an island in the year 2012 where all contributors will live together "sustainably", in peace and harmony. The total lack of economic, legal, and practical feasibility is repeatedly expressed by the Haterz™, but is dismissed by Casey as "negativity". During this period, Casey makes judicious use of Facebook and Twitter, social networking being his newest shiny thing.

August 17-24, 2009: Island2012 gradually grows more and more self-centered -- at one point, Casey even states that "No ownership or 'timeshare' is promised. However, we may consider it at a later stage." It becomes more and more clear to all involved that Island 2012 is not designed to benefit anybody but Casey himself. Gradually, Casey shifts from describing the island as "our island" to "my island".

August 25, 2009: Casey announces a 3-day 27th birthday party and Island2012 kickoff extravaganza, to be held from September 10th - 12th, "somewhere in the Sacramento area" (later decided upon to be a public park). Casey asks all attendees to bring a food item, and remarks that people who do not bring food or gifts for him are "perhaps [...] not the type of person who will want to be part of our community".

August 26, 2009: Casey liquidates all of his remaining GSPG stock, now worth an estimated $11,000.

August 28, 2009: Casey fundamentally re-imagines Island2012 yet again; ultimately, the island is for Casey alone and will feature a 500-room "5-star world-class resort". Sponsors will be given time-share credit at this imaginary resort on this non-existent island at a rate directly proportional to the amount of their monthly contributions.

September 3, 2009: Casey changes his birthday party plans from a 3-day extravaganza to a 2-day party, and then to a 1-day party. Casey receives 5 "Yes" responses to his Facebook party invitation, only three (at most) of which are from people who could feasibly attend the party.

September 5, 2009: FalseCasey announces that an analysis of Casey's flickr stream suggests Casey has invested the bulk of the funds obtained from selling the GSPG stock into a pay-phone scam. They identify the scammers working Casey as Mike Masterson and Lisa Scifo who are owners of a dubious company called Executive Consultant Group LLC. The specifics are never confirmed, but Haterz dig up sufficient information about Scifo and Masterson to be fairly confident that the two are running a scam. Photos of Scifo in a revealing bikini are circulated widely, including on Camp Idiot.

September 9, 2009: Casey announces that he is seeking to repurchase GSPG at a somewhat lower price than he sold for. He simultaneously loses Lisa Scifo and Mike Masterson as friends on Facebook, removes access to any photos of Scifo and Masterson from his flickr account, and bans several Facebook friends who questioned or referred to Scifo and her luscious appendages.

September 10, 2009: Casey's blog is (apparently) taken offline, and is replaced by an Island 2012 graphic with a countdown clock, ticking down to midnight on September 12th.

September 11, 2009: The Party in the Park attracts only three guests. Casey dresses in a pirate costume that makes him look like a disheveled homeless woman. The party is followed by several hours of live streaming video from his parent's basement. The stream continues into the night as Casey sleeps live on camera.

September 12, 2009: The Party in the Park continues. Only one person shows up. Casey dresses like a homeless woman again and is able to stream live from the park.

September 22, 2009: Casey holds a Tardcast with Anthony Phillips and hawks Prepaid Legal plans.

September 23 - October 9, 2009: Casey holds a series of talkcasts of varying length, most of which were universally boring and contained no particularly noteworthy information.

October 9, 2009: Rumors circulate that Casey has taken a job (though most assuredly not by choice), to the shock and disbelief of many of his longtime Haterz.

October 11, 2009: Island2012 goes "underground", leaving the site's two or three legitimate sponsors unsurprisingly thrown under the bus. Casey claims that Island2012 is not dead, and that "the Law of Attraction does not require internet marketing or publicity to work." Multi-million dollar island-purchasing proposals do, however.

October 13, 2009: Island2012 comes back online, with the sponsors list wiped clean. Casey states that his reason for going offline was due to something sponsorship-related, but will not elaborate further. Haterz speculate that it had something to do with Casey's inability to hold up his end of a business contract he had made with Sarah Prout, his highest-level sponsor.

October 18, 2009: Casey announces that he has obtained a full-time job, but further details are not divulged. Naturally, he attributes this to the Law of Attraction.

October 23, 2009: Casey muses about how it may be a better option to "take over the payments" on a tropical island, apparently coming to the obvious realization that scraping together enough money to buy a tropical island would be impossible for him.

[edit] Mortgage Elimination Man / A4V

November 20, 2009: Casey (or, more specifically, his corporation) receives a summons, over approximately a $5300 debt owed. Casey wonders "why they even bother[ed] at this figure," and asks "how did they find me here!!?" In a separate photo posting, Casey's job is revealed to be as a parking valet, and remarks that his van has broken down again.

December 8, 2009: It is revealed that Casey has fallen for yet another scam, this time one that purports to "convert debt to cash," presumably using some sort of new-age fiat alchemy. This is later confirmed via photos.

December 26, 2009: Back on a downward trend, Casey asks on his Facebook account if there is a way to "mass-delete all [his] Facebook posts."

December 28, 2009: It becomes discovered that Casey's parents' house is in pre-foreclosure.

January 13, 2010: Casey's parents' house is scheduled for Trustee Sale.

January 19, 2010: Casey re-closes his Facebook account.

January 27, 2010: Casey's parents file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

March 11, 2010: Casey's Facebook account once again begins showing signs of life.

March 12, 2010: Casey launches a new blog entitled Mortgage Elimination Man. The topic of the blog is how to purpotedly eliminate one's mortgage by simply asking the bank to prove that you actually owe them any money. Around this time, Casey begins to dive hard into "A4V" ("Accepted For Value") schemes -- in short, a scam that makes idiots believe that they can concoct money out of thin air by drawing on a fictional "strawman" version of themselves created by the government.

March 16, 2010: Mortgage Elimination Man shuts down and all references to it are scrubbed from Casey's Facebook account..

April, 2010: Iamfacingforeclosure.com is acquired by Duane LeGate's company, HBN Interactive.

April 16, 2010: Casey sets up a new blog entitled "Daily Miracles," wherein he chronicles his "experiment" in copy-pasting one article per day from a book that is freely available online.

April 17, 2010: The president of "Freedom Club USA," the scam A4V-related organization that Casey paid money to the previous November, is arrested for forgery and counterfeiting.

May 16, 2010: Casey mentions that he wants to try the early riser habit yet again. 0% success is the expected outcome, like every other time.

May 17, 2010: Casey posts a note on Facebook entitled How to deal with "haters".

[edit] "IAFF 2.0" / ReclaimYourRights

August 17, 2010: Casey opens I Am Fighting Foreclosure, which he calls "IAFF 2.0", referencing his old IAFF blog.

August 18, 2010: Casey makes a post that lists his objectives, chiefly to "challenge the so called “loan” and legally eliminate [my] mortgage." As a bonus, Casey also lists that he might "go after the lender" for "triple damages or more." As Casey doesn't actually have a mortgage anymore, it should be noted that the mortgage he's trying to defend is the one on his parents' house (which has evidently not been paid in a very long time).

August 20, 2010: Casey makes a post entitled "It's Fun to Fail." It's a good thing, too, as that's all Casey can ever seem to do. Casey ends the post with a self-congratulatory note: "Oh, by the way, my parents are still in their home. Somebody is doing their job :)"

August 21, 2010: Casey shuts down I Am Fighting Foreclosure, leaving the (repeatedly tweaked) message "There is no reason to fight... unless it's just for fun. I love you. Peace ~"

August 24, 2010: I Am Fighting Foreclosure reappears, with a post about George Tran, a "mortgage fraud fighter extraordinaire" who is having severe problems with his own foreclosure defense proceedings. It's only fitting that Casey's hero would be one of the few people on Earth who can fail even harder than Casey does.

August 26, 2010: Casey makes a post that excruciatingly details everything that he has done so far in his "mortgage elimination" efforts, including the possibly-illegal A4V and "debt validation & proof of claim letters to ALLEGED lender." Casey once again places entirely too much stock in "self-executing clauses," as though he can steal hundreds of thousands of dollars from a bank simply by mailing them a note that essentially says "if you do not repsond within 24 hours, you agree to give me the money I am asking for."

September 10, 2010: Casey's "forensic loan auditor" -- curiously, a title that the FTC specifically mentions is an indicator for a common scam -- proclaims to Casey that "We GOT EM... You Have Great Proof." Haterz™ assume it's only a matter of time before this "forensic loan auditor" comes to Casey in need of "just a little bit more money" to continue with the court proceedings. Has Casey been spotted as a mark again?

September 27, 2010: Casey makes a post that unequivocally explains what his ultimate intent is -- "a lawsuit for fraud against the bank." How Casey makes the mental leap between "lender gave us a loan for a house" to "lender defrauded us and we deserve not only the house for free, but a boatload of cash on top of it" is anyone's guess, but it likely involved drugs.

October 7, 2010: Casey posts a YouTube video for the website ReclaimYourRights.com, a membership-based site that purports to teach its members (at either $360 or $1200 per year) how to get their mortgages declared void, so that they may own their houses completely free and clear, without paying so much as a dime. In other words, it's yet another scam operation on Casey's resumé.
