Touring the World and Paying Off Debt

June 21st 2007: In today's post on IAFF, Casey scores some new advertisers and cycles back up to a manic high.

Casey basks in sweet media coverage and sees advertising revenue approaching: "It's a win-win!"

He increases the sweet links to 25 slots. Five new advertisers sign up, and Casey sees the sudden inflow of cash as "stable income". In a repeat of the previous month's boom and bust pattern, he starts to make grandiose plans:

I will live on $1,000/mo and send another $1,000/mo home to assist my wife while I’m away [..]. Anything on top of that will go toward paying off debt.[...] I’m getting more stable cashflow going it’s almost time to start calling my lenders and negotiate some kind of repayment plans.

The deal was $1000/week, no? And dude: three days ago you were begging strangers for shelter.

Casey promises that "as always I will continue being very open and transparent with my finances" -- as always?! -- and spins his desertion of Galina into a more media-friendly soundbite:

She has a full-time W2 job and unfortunately is not able to come on this trip.

Yes: BECAUSE YOU TOOK ALL THE MONEY AND LEFT HER BEHIND ALONG WITH ALL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES. Damn.

Casey considers extending his world tour, as long as he can find new mooching opportunities:

Hey, if I can get a place to stay and have some exposure in other country maybe I can make a few stops on the way back home. I’ve been offered places all over the world. Thank you for that! But it’s too early to tell what will happen next. I’m just kind of living it one-day-at-a-time.

He ends on an trademark upbeat note: "Good things are coming!" How long will this cycle last? Stay tuned, haterz.

Casey edits the post soon after it is posted to remove the mentions of Galina.

[edit] Comments

In the comments, Casey is told that "dude, you ain’t friggin’ Marco Polo."[1]

Comments about Casey's latest CashCall situation[2] continue to slip through moderation: "So why are you suddenly renewing your interest in paying back your debts? Did Cashcall come knocking?"[3]

Casey attempts to control the story: "CashCall is just using scare tactics. They can’t do much from what I’m told."[4] Sure Casey, that's exactly why Gary Coleman's learning jujitsu.
