Some have openly wondered as to how Casey achieves his trademark tousled mane of "dramatic" hair characteristic of an "artisan" personality.[1] While he has not been directly responsive to such inquiry, it is broadly believed that to obtain such a noteworthy coif, he must be availing himself of the services found in a professional touslery. The process there includes:
Follicle luxation -- a chemical loosener™, followed by frictional assistance, is applied to provide the essential randomization so essential to the finished product
Disheveling vat -- see picture. The head is typically submersed for 20 or 30 minutes. Some complain of the pain involved, but experts believe it essential for the finished product quality.
Touslitians are typically either selected for having a native ataxia condition, or else are trained to simulate the condition. Some claim to be able to tell the difference in the finished product, but no definitive study exists.
