The ™ trademark sign appears on words in many IAFF-related comments. Its use is ironic, as in Haterz™.

The use of ™ was originated by Benoit™ in postings on EN. Its use was elevated to new comedic heights in IAFF comments by Timeline Guy, who in writing a parallel history of Casey's daily activities marked each Caseyism with a ™.

Most operating systems also provide a way of directly inputting the ™ character. On Mac OS X the key combination is Option-2 (or Shift-Option-2 for European keyboards).
