• Casey Serin's rather unusual interest in trampolines
• The sense that Galina lets Casey take advantage of her unfairly as a launching pad for his disastrous schemes as well as a safe, reliable and compliant "landing pad."
• The sense that Casey allegedly treats his wife like a literal doormat or trampoline
• Another possible significance is Galina's potential future in any of various sleazy industries, where she would be literally be bounced upon.
