Trampoline
From CaseyPedia
A trampoline is an apparatus which uses energy temporarily stored in coiled springs to temporarily launch a person higher than they can ordinarily jump, giving them the illusion of flight as wells as sensations of temporary weightlessness. In no instance, however, can the energy propelling the person upward exceed the amount of energy that is put into the device. That would, of course, violate the immutable laws of physics. Many normal people have enjoyed experiencing the sensations of trampolining as youths, and most did not misconstrue the simple lesson this activity can provide as a physical metaphor for real life.
Trampolines were a backyard feature of the 1950s and 1960s, but lost their luster in the 1970s due to the emergence of contingency-fee lawsuits against trampoline manufacturers which made their manufacture unprofitable. They enjoyed a brief resurgence in the early 2000s as a result of the regular Man Show feature called Girls On Trampolines!
As a result of their religious background, it is unlikely that the Serin family was aware of the sexual connotations of well-endowed females on trampolines, and thus chose to include one in their backyard, as documented in one of ratlab's photos.[1]
In one of Casey Serin's early Flickr troll baiting moments, whilst in the midst of total financial ruin, Serin went to Mommy and Daddy's house and jumped on the trampoline.[2] This free-wheeling behavior gave Haterz™ the ammunition to begin referring to Galina as Trampolina.
While trampolines generally appear to be harmless, a fall that impacts the head can be quite dangerous and may result in death or brain damage. Some Haterz™ have speculated that excessive trampoline activity may explain some of Casey's irrational behavior.
It's unknown whether Casey's trampolining activities and his later visit to a chiropractor are connected, although one photograph does show what appears to be a rather painful landing.[3]
