Uzbekistan is a country in Central Asia, bordered by Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. It is not bordered by Russia, though Russian is widely spoken, and the country was formerly part of the Russia-dominated Soviet Union.

The capital of Uzbekistan is Tashkent, where Casey Serin was born on September 10, 1982.

Commenters on Casey's website I Am Facing Foreclosure often confuse Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The latter is a country in Eastern Europe that has little in common with Uzbekistan aside from also being a member of the former Soviet Union and starting with the letter U. However, it is rarely confused with Uganda or Uruguay.
