Work
From CaseyPedia
Work, in the sense of employment, is defined as any physical or mental activity directed toward the production or accomplishment of something. Generally "work" in this sense is engaged in so as to earn a living, and not go broke. In the world of Casey Serin, work is defined as follows:
- Tasks performed by loosers in exchange for non-passive income, typically on a set schedule which denies them the freedom, flexibility and unlimited income potential of self-employment. Frequently, work is done as part of a job but it may also be done on a consulting basis or even by some self-employed entrepreneurs. The downside of work is that it frequently requires keeping a regular schedule, performing tasks, and occasionally even opening one's mail.
- Something that Casey Serin has not engaged in since becoming a failed real estate investor.
For reasons not yet clear, Casey does occasionally lapse into brief spasms of work. The picture shows a CD disc-duplication project from early 2007. This is atypical of contract work for $52K/yr computer consultants.
During his talkcasts, Casey has a tendency to say he will "work on it" when confronted by criticism.
